The Net Zero initiative aims to transform all the campuses & urban spaces into living laboratories for Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and carbon neutrality, aligning with India's commitment to achieve Net Zero carbon emissions by 2070, as announced by PM Narendra Modi at COP26.

This concept note emphasizes the urgent need for carbon neutrality to combat climate change and mitigate global warming, leveraging the pandemic recovery as an opportunity for sustainable transformation. For example, by turning micro & macro spaces into practical hubs for sustainability campuses; like Government, Universities, Corporates & Urban spaces etc., can prepare citizens, students & human resources for a sustainable future and significantly contribute to national and global carbon neutrality goals.

Key strategies include monitoring and reducing emissions, supporting AI technologies, and participating in a global affiliation for carbon neutrality by immediate efforts, thereby fostering environmentally conscious thought processes and driving socio-economic benefits for sustainable development.
